  1. P-51B GROUND ATTACK TRAINING

  3. The P-51 was frequently used in the
  4. fighter/bomber role because of its
  5. ability to carry 2,000 lbs. of bombs. 
  6. The agile Mustang was a fighter pilot's
  7. dream because of its great handling
  8. characteristics, a very important
  9. factor during low altitude flight.  One
  10. of the P-51's only weaknesses was its
  11. susceptibility to engine damage due to
  12. the Merlin's liquid cooling system.

  14.                     YOUR MISSION
  15.  
  16. Your P-51B starts only a few thousand 
  17. feet above the Duisberg oil refinery.  
  18. Arm your bombs, and then drop them on 
  19. the refinery (low level bombing 
  20. recommended).  Then engage the two 
  21. Bf 109s which are approaching.

  23. Your P-51B has unlimited ammunition,
  24. including bombs.
